Billy (my brother) never was much of a dancer. We'd all go to "da club" to try to pick up some ladies, and, yeah, a group of us would go out on the dance floor and do our best (even though it was pretty weak), but Billy would just stand on the sidelines with his beer. He was definitely more of a voyeur than a participant. Always too reserved to give it a shot. Always caring too much what others would think. Yup, as long as I could remember, Billy was never a dancer.
Until one day... I went down to visit him at school since his fraternity was having a big party. Nothing unusual was happening as the night began - Beer, beer pong and some music in the background. Billy and I were partnered up in beer pong against Slumpa and his special friend. The game was going as planned, Billy and I were kicking some arse...when all of a sudden, music started blasting as loud as could be, sheer enjoyment filled the faces of Slumpa and Billy as they immediately ran into the dance room where all their other fraternity brothers awaited them. To my amazement, I saw Billy start to dance...sorta...he started hopping up and down with all of his bros as the lyrics of "In the Navy, come join your brother man, In the Navy" blared. It was odd, very odd, but to see my brother finally break out of his shell was glorious. A glorious day indeed.
